MyCAA - Vocational Scholarships for Military Spouses

Community Business College offers military spouses, veterans, recently returned service personnel and current active-duty spouses special services for along with their training programs.

 

The MyCAA program is open to all eligible spouses under the new program guidelines below:

bulletSpouse of an active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine service member, or activated Reserve member in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O2.
bulletIf the spouse of National Guard and/or AGR member, the sponsor must be on federal Title 10 active duty orders as reported in DEERS.
bulletSpouses of Guard/Reserve members in an Alert, Transition Assistance, or Post Deployment status are not eligible.
bulletMyCAA accounts are now limited to the new $4,000 maximum benefit with a $2,000 fiscal year cap. Waivers to the fiscal year cap will be available for spouses pursuing licensure or credentials with a cost that exceeds the $2,000 fiscal year cap up to the total maximum assistance of $4,000.
bulletSpouses must finish their program of study within three years from the start date of the first course.
bulletFunding is limited to Community Business College's certifications and licensure programs.

Job Placement Assistance

After completing the training program, Community Business College provides job placement assistance service. This service is on-going, meaning if you leave a job, you are welcome to come back to the school and

All graduated students are assisted in job placement to the level they desire. Getting a job is the goal of our training programs.

We will help in simulating what is required in your job search. Actual job placement is up to the individual student and his/her level of motivation; thus, Community Business College can not guarantee placement but can guarantee we will do our best for our graduates. Services include:

A professionally designed resume is at the end of the training period.

Interviews and interviewing skills training.

Job Placement assistance by our on-site staff who are skilled in motivation, competence training, and job placement services including employer outreach.

New this year for California Residents Military Spouses:

     The California State Unemployment Insurance Department's new policy will grant California Training Benefits Extensions to military spouses who are receiving unemployment insurance benefits and enroll in one of these eligible training programs.
